Joe Pace

As Director/CEO of the award-winning Colorado Mass Choir, nationally renowned songwriter and  producer Joseph W. Pace, II, is recognized as one of Gospel music’s most dynamic and compelling talents.

An ordained minister, Pace also wears many other hats. He is the owner and president of Pace Productions, Inc., a gospel music management and production company, as well as owner of Pace’s Vision Music, a gospel music publishing company. Pace has served in numerous musical directorship roles including service as Music Pastor at one of the country’s largest multi-cultural ministries with over 10,000 members. He is also a much sought after workshop clinician and teacher.

A prolific songwriter, Pace has penned such songs as the Top 10 single “Watch God Move,” “The Real Meaning of Christmas,” “Send Your Latter Rain,” "It's My Time To Be Blessed," and the popular worship anthem sung in churches all over the nation “We Worship You,” which was popularized by Fred Hammond.

Pace accepted a Stellar Award for New Artist of the Yearin 1997 for the Colorado Mass Choir’s debut album, Watch God Move. In addition, Pace has received some 15 other award nominations including a Stellar Award nomination as Producer of the Year for the Colorado Mass Choir’s Top 10 charting So Good album.

Recently, Pace began working as a producer, songwriter and arranger for Integrity Music, the leading label in the praise and worship music genre. His partnership with Integrity has already produced two gems in the label’s Urban Praise product line.

His debut project, Joe Pace Presents – Let There Be Praise, won critical acclaim, providing fresh, new praise and worship songs for the church.  Several of the songs from this project, quickly became top 10 radio hits.  The album was recorded live in Mobile, Alabama, where Pace utilized a local worship team and choir.

Pace’s second project with Integrity, Glad About It!, included the award-winning Colorado Mass Choir and guest artist LaShun Pace, who performs the title track.  The album also includes a stellar lineup of musicians including Jonathan DuBose, Jr., on guitar, Marcus Dawson on keyboards, Terry Baker on drums and Simeon Baker on bass.

His most current project, Shake The Foundation, was recorded live at the Guiding Light Church in Birmingham, Alabama, and features the church’s choir along with guest appearances by worship artist Israel Houghton.

Pace has worked with the likes of Fred Hammond, Commissioned, Israel, Percy Bady, Ben Tankard, Rev. James Moore, Alvin Slaughter, Babbie Mason, John P. Kee, Angelo & Veronica, Gary Oliver, and others. But, the spotlight is not something Pace seeks.  His objective is simply to continue to produce music that facilitates and enables people to experience Christ on a personal level. “I really want to help people everywhere touch the heart of God through this music,” he explains.

Coming in the summer of 2003, Pace is scheduled to release a new album with the Colorado Mass Choir.
